The “F1 Live Road Show” held in Barcelona on June 19, 2024 was an unprecedented event that brought the excitement of Formula 1 to the heart of the city. This event was part of the “Formula 1 Barcelona Fan Festival 2024”, which took place from June 15 to 22, as a prelude to the Spanish Grand Prix at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya.
The “Fan Village”, located in Plaça Catalunya, was the nerve center of the festival, offering fans exhibitions of F1 single-seaters, replicas of a box, a podium and a trophy, as well as interactive activities such as pit stop simulations. Each evening, the main stage hosted live concerts, expanding the entertainment offer for attendees.
The “F1 Live Road Show” stood out for the participation of renowned drivers. Ferrari driver and local idol Carlos Sainz drove his car through the streets of Barcelona, giving spectators a demonstration of the power and agility of Formula 1 vehicles. Jack Doohan, Alpine’s reserve driver, also took part in the show, along with Formula 2 and Formula 3 drivers Pepe Martí and Mari Boya, respectively.
After the exhibition, the “Fans Forum” was held on the stage of the “Fan Village”. This forum was attended by drivers and key figures from the world of Formula 1, offering fans the opportunity to interact directly with them and delve deeper into the most outstanding aspects of the sport.
The event attracted a massive attendance, with more than 40,000 people gathered to enjoy the show. This enthusiastic response from the public reflects the passion and interest in Formula 1 in the city, consolidating Barcelona as a privileged setting for events of this magnitude.
The “F1 Live Road Show” was considered a resounding success, offering fans a unique opportunity to see Formula 1 cars in action in the heart of Barcelona.
