The Champions Burger is one of the most prominent gastronomic events in Spain, dedicated to finding the best gourmet burger in the country and, in its latest edition, in Europe. This traveling festival travels to more than 20 Spanish cities, pitting various burger restaurants against each other for the title of best burger.
In its most recent edition, the event took place at the Ansio fairgrounds in Barakaldo, from December 12, 2024, to January 6, 2025. During this European final, 25 burger restaurants competed for the title of the best burger on the continent.
The winning burger was the ‘Lil Wayne’, created by the Malaga-based restaurant Gottan Grill. This outstanding burger is composed of a blend of aged ribeye steak, American cheddar cheese, crispy onions, 48-hour pancetta, Louisiana-style sauce, bacon bits, and smoked mayonnaise, all served on a Parmesan and grated mozzarella brioche bun.
In addition to the recognition, the “Lil Wayne” burger is priced at €16.95 at the Gottan Grill restaurant in Malaga. This achievement positions Malaga as a benchmark in the world of gourmet burgers in Europe.
The event not only offered a wide variety of high-quality burgers, but also provided attendees with a complete experience with live music, a festive atmosphere, and the opportunity to participate in the selection of the best burger through voting.
